Kate Hesson was admitted to the bar in 2000 and practised commercial law until 2018 when she began to focus her professional interests on collaborative practices (such as mediation),investigations and governance.
Kate is Dunedin-based and has first-hand knowledge of sporting culture at an international, organisational and family level. Kate can draw from a wide variety of experience including working in and governing community organisations.
She was awarded the Otago/Southland Emerging Director Award in 2019 and sits on the Council of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand.
